This trimester, you may experience the ‘mid-pregnancy bloom’, a welcome phase where you start to feel better about yourself and lose the mood swings that had been hounding you just a few months ago. You will start gaining weight more rapidly now and start showing too. If this is not your first pregnancy, your baby bump may appear sooner than last time, as your body adjusts to your growing uterus faster.
Your baby’s arms have started getting longer and they will soon be proportionate with the rest of his or her body. Your baby can grimace, squint and even frown now, and may respond to external stimuli, such as moving away when the doctor touches your belly. His or her brain is developing quickly.
