I got married in 2003 and had my first baby with normal delivery in 2005. We decided for the next baby after a gap of six years from the first baby. We were living in New Delhi at that time when I conceived for the second time in February 2012 and my initial check-ups were in the capital city itself. In the month of June 2012, my husband got transferred to Bangalore and I was consulting at a nearby hospital near our home.
Everything was fine until the last minute. My due date of delivery was told as 12.11.2012. We went for a normal checkup to the hospital around 7th November and to our dismay and shock, we were informed that there is a serious complication and we have to go for an operation immediately. We took a decision to report the next day. Meanwhile, I was adamant not to have a C-section as I was not convinced of the reason given and requested my husband to have a second opinion from another hospital.
During our family discussion at home, we were informed by our sister-in-law about Cloudnine. We reached Cloudnine Malleswaram for a second opinion.

We did not know any doctor at that time. Yet the very first impression of the ambience of the hospital itself gave me 50 % of hope. I must say that we did not have any hope that we will be considered at the last hour, but to our surprise, we were welcomed and made to fulfil my dream with ease.
We were directed to Dr Manjula Raghuveer by the front office staff. To our surprise post relevant tests, the Obstetrician gave me enormous confidence and assurance that it will be a normal delivery! I wanted that assurance as I had felt that it would happen as a normal birth and unless for a major medical reason, I shouldn’t for a C-Section.
On 14th November-yes on Children’s day, we got our Princess- Samvrudhi in the morning at 5.45am with a normal delivery @ Cloudnine. The confidence and the moral support given by the team of doctors and nurses surely gave me the confidence to bear the pain for a few minutes and a lifetime to remember.

The best gesture of the hospital is that husbands must and should be in the labour room during the time of delivery so that the wife gets more strength and confidence. It was the support I got from Dr Manjula Raghuveer and my husband. With God’s grace, I delivered my little one with cherished memories to hold for a lifetime.
