Best things about being pregnant!

Morning sickness, pregnancy weight gain, leaky bladder, swollen clown feet, and the list go on and on. These are few of the horrific things that come along with pregnancy, but here we have listed down a few things that you’ll miss about being pregnant.

The Pregnancy Glow

We all know about the glowing, radiant skin a pregnant woman experiences, this is known as the pregnancy glow. Believe it or not but in a few cases, the skin becomes ten times better when you are pregnant. If you are one of them, then you must be missing your glorious shiny skin and your pregnancy. The glowing skin is due to the high amount of blood volume supplied by the blood vessels which results in that flushed look.

Also, the fluctuating hormone levels result in a higher secretion of sebum (oil) from the skin glands which makes your skin look shinier and smoother.

Remember that not all women are lucky to experience this glow, some pregnant women battle acne, and many others skin issues.

No More of Counting Those Calories

They say when you are pregnant, you can “eat for two." What can be better than this?

A pregnant woman can undoubtedly eat more. It is because her body has to support the growth and development of the little life that she is nurturing inside her.  Also, let’s talk about the cravings. Over 60% of pregnant women experience food cravings.  It is caused by the changing levels of hormones in the body.

From Khus Khus to dill pickles you can crave for anything. The good news is that you don’t have to stop. It’s okay to give in to your cravings but make sure that you are eating healthy foods

  1. The Increasing Cup Size

What vigorous fitness regimes and exercises couldn’t do it, pregnancy did it in no time. Don’t you just love this? If you were born with A and B cups, pregnancy gives you an experience of the other half’s life. This is triggered by the hormonal changes that occur in your body to prepare the milk ducts to feed the baby.

1. The Good Hair Phase

The increased hormone levels when you're expecting results in thicker nails and shinier hair. Also, it makes your hair look thicker and fuller because you lose fewer hairs each day.

2. The Increasing Libido

Libido or sexual desire of a woman increases when she is expecting. This is because the increased blood flow to the pelvic area (engorgement) boosts their sexual response, heightens the sensitivity (orgasm) and makes sex more fulfilling. Another reason why you love pregnancy sex is that; when you are pregnant the vaginal secretions are much higher (increased lubrication) which makes the intercourse more comfortable and enjoyable.

3. The Naps

When you are expecting, naps are practically prescribed to keep fatigue at bay. Feeling tired is normal, this is because your body is supporting two lives here, one is your life, and another one is the life of the baby growing inside you. Your body works hard to keep everything in place which can wear you out more easily than usual. Therefore, slumber is a blissful way of saying goodbye to the fatigue.

4. The VIP Treatment

You don’t have to stand in the line, nor have to squeeze your way out in the crowded place. A pregnant woman can walk like she is walking on the red carpet. Well, you will miss this!

Amidst the tossing and turning at night and the big pregnancy belly you might not realize this now but, once you deliver your baby you are going to miss a few or all of the things listed above!
