We understand that when it comes to choosing the right healthcare provider for your little one, trust is very crucial. Extending the trust we have built with moms over the nine months of their pregnancy journey, Cloudnine’s Department of Pediatrics provides a wide range of outpatient and inpatient services to children right from pre-term babies up to the age of 12.
The department provides comprehensive paediatric services like Neonatal ICU (NICU), Paediatric ICU (PICU) and General Paediatrics including Immunisation Services, Paediatric Orthopaedics, Paediatric Neurology, Paediatric Pulmonology, Paediatric ENT, Paediatric Ophthalmology, Paediatric Urology, Paediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, Paediatric Genetics, Paediatric Orthodontics, Paediatric Allergy, Paediatric Dermatology, Paediatric Endocrinology, Paediatric Infectious Diseases, Developmental Paediatrics, Child Psychology & Psychiatry.
With dedicated play areas, friendly doctors and attractive consultant rooms, our paediatric wards make kids feel comfortable and welcome.
A distinguishing feature of neonatal and paediatric care at Cloudnine Hospitals is the newborn screening, specifically the newborn hearing test and Guthrie test. Fulfilling our aim to provide international standards of paediatric care, we are the only medical facility in the country to provide these tests. The Guthrie test, which is mandatory in most developed countries, is done to identify any enzymatic or biochemical disorder in an otherwise normal-looking baby and proactively save the baby from any harm.
At Cloudnine, we value the trust that parents show in us and therefore adopt the best paediatric care model to improve the healthcare of infants, children and adolescents.

"Our baby was born in Cloudnine Hospital, Kailash Colony. Unfortunately, we had a preterm baby. Our baby was fortunate to be under the care of Dr. Vinay Kumar Rai in NICU for thirteen days and he recovered so well. Dr. Vinay Kumar Rai took excellent care of our kid. I recommend Cloudnine Hospital, Kailash Colony to everyone"
"My baby was delivered prematurely so she had breathing problems and very severe infection. She was treated by Dr. Vinay Kumar Rai. From the start he was very supportive and treated her very well. The behaviour of the hospital staff too, was incredible. We always felt that the baby was with her own family. I recommend Cloudnine Hospital for good facilities and cost-effective treatment"
"My child is 40 days old. All the staff were very good. Dr. Vinay Kumar Rai was very helpful. When my baby was born, we were worried about him but today he is in very good health. All the doctors were very helpful and supportive. All the staff and doctors cared for our baby very well because of which he is healthy and well today"
"At 25 weeks we had preterm labour. Out of nowhere our life changed and we had a 750 grams young boy. Generally the survival of a 25-week-old baby is considered quite slim. But with faith in God and the facilities at Cloudnine Panchkula we began our journey. Dr. Saurabh did the CPR. Then Dr. Sahil Bansal took care of him for 75 long days. Dr. Sail Bansal entertained every little call of mine. With God's grace and Dr. Sahil's great effort my son pulled through. The loving nurses of this hospital are wonderful. I thank this hospital which has state-of-the-art facilities, and excellent sepsis control. I thank the doctors, the nurses and the facilities at Cloudnine"
"When my baby was admitted on the first day, we were very apprehensive. We met Dr. Mohd. Amir and she got admitted under him. In 2-3 days, she began to feel comfortable. He explained everything clearly. We believed in what he said, and the situation improved with each passing day. Overall, the nursing staff were very supportive and caring. The admin staff took care of everything and supported us in every way. Overall, I'll say that if we plan for a next baby, it will be with Cloudnine from day"
"We were in consultation with Dr. Neha Khandelwal. We had a premature delivery in the 33rd week. Under the consultation and good guidance of Dr. Vinay Kumar Rai, he was admitted in the NICU for 10 days. He is in good health now and his weight has improved to 2.8 kg. Very good guidance and advice has been given by Dr. Vinay Kumar Rai. Neha ma'am was also very good. We recommend this hospital for your baby's delivery. Thank you very much"
A paediatrician is a doctor who specialises in caring for infants, children and young adults.
In India, children up to 12 or 13 years are registered under Paediatric service and should consult a paediatrician for various conditions.
Your child should not only see the paediatrician when he/she is sick but also at regular intervals of time for routine checkups. This gives the paediatrician an opportunity to keep track of your child’s physical and mental growth and development and to detect problems through screening tests.
Immunizations are a series of shots given to children at different ages to help ward off serious, and potentially fatal diseases. Vaccines protect your child against illnesses like polio, measles, tetanus and so on.
India has approved two homegrown Covid vaccines for children under the age of 12 - Biological E's COVID-19 vaccine Corbevax for children aged 5 to12 and Bharat Biotech's Covaxin for 6 to 12-year olds.

The Guthrie test detects any enzymatic or biochemical disorder in an otherwise normal-looking baby, and this test ensures the baby is proactively saved from any damage. This test is mandatory in developed countries.
It is normal for infants aged 4–5 months to suck their fingers. It is their way of exploring their surroundings. For older children, the sucking may be a result of familiarity or used as a way to self-comfort. Should parents find that their grown-up child is still sucking on their fingers, they should provide a distraction for the sucking instead of being strict with them.
Children around the age of 3 begin to speak normally. You can assist your child in developing their language and communication skills by reading them storybooks and by speaking with them regularly.
Usually, between 6 and 13 months, your baby begins to crawl. Between 9 and 12 months, they will pull themselves up. And between 8 and 18 months, they will walk for the first time. So if they are not walking at all by 18 months and not walking steadily by age 2, you should consult a paediatrician.
