Dr. Poornima RN is a Paediatric and adolescent Endocrinologist with experience spanning around 10 years with vast experience in growth disorders, thyroid problems, puberty-related problems, newborn and Childhood-onset hypoglycemia, childhood-onset diabetes and obesity, electrolytes disorders, endocrine hypertension, adrenal disorders and growth hormone deficiency, post-chemotherapy or radiotherapy related endocrine problems, malignancy-associated endocrine issues and developmental disorders with endocrine problems.

She was trained under the mentorship of Dr. P Raghupathy. She was a faculty at St. Johns Medical College for a decade and was in charge of the Paediatric  Endocrine Clinic in the dept of Paediatrics. She was instrumental in starting  a support group for type 1 diabetes for holistic care. She is faculty in the  IDEAL programme for diabetes educators, and faculty in conferences, CME and workshops.
