Early Labor Coping Strategy - Dr. Chitralekha Dambekodi
Usually in a first pregnancy it takes 12-14 hours before a woman is ready to deliver. Surprisingly, the stronger the pains are the sooner the baby is likely to come. When the pregnancy pains are milder, it is likely that the labor will be an extended one. The best way to cope is to be relaxed and stay calm. Anxiety or screaming will only delay labor which could also lead to frequent examinations. A hot bath or deep breathing exercises will help. Dr. Chitralekha Dambekodi further explains pain relief options available to women who are undergoing a prolonged labour. For more information, visit cloudninecare.com

What happens with the water breaks during pregnancy? When there is a gush of fluid, women are advised to wear a napkin and confirm if it is a urine leak or a water bed break. Immediately inform your doctor and go to the hospital where your doctor will advise you on the next course of action. For more information, visit cloudninecare.com
