Dr. Aravinda Lochani is a highly skilled Neonatologist with expertise in managing complex Level III and Level IV NICU cases, including extremely premature infants (from 24 weeks of gestation), neonatal sepsis, shock, seizures, and multi-organ dysfunction. She has extensive experience in the pre-operative and post-operative care of neonates with critical congenital heart diseases such as TAPVC, TGA, and coarctation of the aorta.

She is proficient in managing asphyxiated and ventilated newborns using advanced modalities, including inhaled nitric oxide (iNO), high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV), and therapeutic hypothermia, while working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including pediatric surgery, neurology, and neurosurgery. Her clinical expertise includes advanced NICU procedures such as endotracheal intubation, surfactant therapy (INSURE & LISA techniques), umbilical arterial and venous catheterisation, PICC and Leaderflex line placement, ultrasound-guided central line insertion, TPN preparation, exchange transfusions, and bone marrow aspiration and biopsy.

Dr. Aravinda Lochani also has strong expertise in Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) for the evaluation of cardiac, pulmonary, and neurological conditions in neonates, and is well-versed in neonatal resuscitation as per NRP guidelines, ensuring timely and effective care for critically ill newborns.
