Dr. Urvashi Chhikara is an enthusiastic Fetal Medicine Specialist with 9+ years of experience. She has completed her MBBS and MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, and her DNB in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the National Board of Examinations (NBE). She completed a 2-year senior residency in OBG at Lok Nayak Hospital, Delhi.

Dr. Urvashi pursued a 2-year fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Apollo Centre of Fetal Medicine in New Delhi. She is certified in nuchal scan (11-13+6 weeks), anomaly scan, Obstetric Dopplers, and cervical assessment from the Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF-UK).

She has been trained for fetal invasive procedures- amniocentesis, chorionic villi sampling, multi-fetal reductions, amnio-drainage, pleurocentesis, vesicocentesis, ascitic tap etc.

She has worked as a Consultant for Fetal Medicine at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital - Delhi, Apollo Hospital - Noida, Apollo Cradle Maternity and Children’s Hospital Motinagar and Healthway Hospital -Goa. Her areas of interest are high-risk pregnancies, fetal echocardiography, multiple pregnancies, and fetal invasive procedures (diagnostic and therapeutic).

Dr. Urvashi has a special academic interest in the field of high-risk Obstetrics and fetal medicine, with multiple publications, studies, and case reports in various national and international journals.
