Dr. Prachi Patwal is a Consultant Neonatologist and Paediatrician with approximately 13 years of experience in paediatrics and neonatology. Originally from the foothills of Uttarakhand, she brings a grounded, compassionate approach to caring for newborns and children, guided by the belief that every baby deserves the best possible start in life.

Her clinical interests include the care of premature and very low birth weight babies, critically ill newborns, neonatal respiratory conditions, and the developmental follow-up of high-risk infants. She is particularly passionate about improving outcomes for preterm babies, recognising that neonatal care extends beyond survival to healthy growth, optimal neurodevelopment with intact survival , and holistic care.

She completed her MBBS at Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College, followed by a Diploma in Child  Health (DCH) from the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Dehradun, and DNB in Paediatrics from M.R. Bangur Institute of Medical Sciences,Kolkata. She subsequently pursued a Fellowship in Neonatology at Swami Rama Himalayan University, Dehradun, further strengthening her expertise in specialised newborn care.

A strong advocate of newborn resuscitation training and breastfeeding support, Dr. Patwal is an Advanced and Basic Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Master Trainer and a certified Lactation Counsellor.

Her academic contributions include six national and international publications, chapters in two neonatology monograms, and fetched multiple awards for best paper and poster presentations. She is a member of the National Neonatology Forum (NNF), BPNI Maharashtra and the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP).During her tenure in Jaipur Golden Hospital Dr Patwal revitalised the Neontal Fellowship Programme, mentoring multiple fellows over three years. Her contribution to neonatal education and training continues to make meaningful impact.
