PICSI or Physiological ICSI for Infertility

"PICSI is Physiological ICSI. Physiological ICSI . ICSI is Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection. It is a kind of a method to fertilize the eggs. So what we do in PICSI is we utilize these sperm's capacity to bind to something called as hyaluronic acid. So it is believed that the sperm which binds to this hyaluronic acid they are either normal sperms or have less DNA fragmentation index or the fertilization capacity of such sperms is better. But many studies have proved that PICSI does not add any additional advantage to the conventional ICSI. But if the patient has had history of ICSI failure or the fertilization rate was not so good in the previous IVF cycle, then we can definitely take the help of PICSI . PICSI is nothing but a dish comes with a hyaluronic acid dot and we put the sperms in that and whichever sperms are normal, are believed to be normal they bind to the hyaluronic acid and we pick those sperms and use for fertilizing the egg"
