Can babies in NICU be breastfed?

"Baby in the ICU can be breast fed. Usually from 34 to 36 weeks. Baby develops sucking swallowing reflex. Accordingly there are infant driven scales are available. We can plot the baby on the scale. Initially breast feeding is not started right away. It is started with the oral feeding and gradually transitioned to the breast feeding. Can be breast fed but requires patience as well as support from the lactation. Know how much baby is feeding and is there a stable weight gain normal feeding so this question needs to be answered before we start oral feeding"
