"What is regular periods? Every woman will have a variation in their periods. Normally we call it in a range of 21 to 35 days and bleeding for about 5 to 6 days is considered as normal. Any deviation from this scenario is considered as irregular period. If a woman has less than, for every 21 days or she gets more than 35 days, then it is considered a s irregular period or the frequency and the amount of the bleeding generally we have for 5 days to 8 days of bleeding, when the bleeding goes beyond 8 days and it is excessive generally the first 2 days of bleeding it is excessive, can be associated with a little bit of clots, but if the clots continue for more than 5th day of the cycle and you see tissues continuing for more than 4 days, then this is the scenario where you have to considered as irregular period. Irregular period has many names, one is oligomenorrhea, that is if your cycles go more than 35 days, amenorrhea is when you don’ t have cycles for more than 6 months, hypomenorrhea is when your cycles have presented for juts 1st day or maximum 2nd day. Or you just have sporting. Third is menorrhagia, is when your cycles is heavier or clotting or tissue passing for more than 3 rd day. Or intermenstrual bleeding in between your cycles is when you have regular cycles. All this is considered as regular and also most important in married woman is post coital bleeding.
