Around this time, you may find it challenging to find a comfortable sleeping position, and may also be making frequent trips to the bathroom to urinate. You may have gained weight around your waistline and chest area. Despite these changes, you may still not appear visibly pregnant.
Your baby’s head is growing fast to accommodate the brain. It is also rounder now and approximately half the size of his or her body. The fingers and toes have developed, although they still appear like webs, with skin folds between them. The legs and hands are long and can bend at the knees and elbows respectively. Your baby’s major organs are now functioning, although they are still in the process of developing. The limb movements are more pronounced now, and your baby may even begin to swallow amniotic fluid present in the uterus.

If you find yourself waking up through the night to urinate, try avoiding liquids like water and juices for a few hours before bedtime to help cut back on bathroom trips at night. Use pillows and soft mattresses to cushion your body and keep you comfortable at night.
If you experience hormonal mood swings, speak to your partner about your tendencies. Talking about your emotions will help your partner understand what’s on your mind, in addition to relieving your stress and improving your mood.
Buy yourself some comfortable maternity clothes, pregnancy bras and underwear. Pick clothes with an adjustable waistline so you can continue to wear them even as your belly grows in the coming months.
Accompany your partner to her ultrasound scan in the coming weeks to get a glimpse of your baby.
Encourage her to stick to her exercise routine by joining her. Consider couple activities like long walks or swimming.
Surprise her with chic new maternity outfits that she will likely need not long from now.
