He is MBBS from the the prestigious King Edward Medical college and Seth G.S. Medical College, Mumbai.  He has done his MD Pediatrics and DM Neonatology from PGI, Chandigarh. He holds a post MD experience of more 13 years.  He is a national level Gold Medal winner (ST Achar National Gold medal) for the best research presentation in 2010. He is also a recipient of JRD Tata Scholarship during his medical school.  He has several publications and presentations in international and national journals; and has also written chapters for neonatology protocol books and pediatric emergency books.  He has also been involved actively in training neonatal nurses and doctors from various states in India as a part of the UNICEF-RCC project in 2011-2012. Apart from this he has been a faculty member / speaker at various regional and national platforms.  His field of interest is "Quality improvement in neonatal care".  The topics of his publications and research work include pediatric respiratory emergencies including asthma, bronchiolitis, foreign body aspiration; neonatal retinopathy of prematurity; role of quality improvement measures in neonatal infections; neonatal pain management etc.
