Mothers always want the best for their children and as a first-timer, I studied extensively to understand the importance of breastfeeding. After all, giving up my routine for nursing my boy who changed his sleep pattern every other day, wasn’t easy. We even visited our lactation consultant thrice to learn how to latch. Somewhere inside I was sure that any factory-made formula could not substitute the essence and emotion of something so natural. Finally, came six months and I felt no less than a hero for raising an exclusively breastfed baby. Now that he’s one, I see how I’ve given him and myself the gift of great health and immunity. So isn’t a few months of giving up our lives worth it for a better upbringing of our babies?
