Cloudnine organised the event to honour parents of 100 babies who were born at less than 28 weeks. A milestone in itself, being the only hospital to honour parents of babies born prematurely, Cloudnine sent out the clear message that premature babies can lead a healthy life free of any complications. The hospital is proud to state that it has achieved more than 98% INTACT survival for these babies with exceptional care through NICU Level V, which has been amongst the best in the country.

Says Dr. Prakash Kini, Group Medical Director, Senior Consultant Obstetrician at Cloudnine hospitals “In my career as an obstetrician, I was initially very skeptical and never believed that babies under 28 weeks could survive and lead a healthy life in India. But since the time I have been associated with Cloudnine, I have found that this is possible and I can confidently assure parents that Cloudnine standards are on par with International protocols and we do ensure and believe in sending home a healthy mom and baby.”
India has been among the top three countries recording the highest number of pre-term births. Babies born prematurely can face a lot of problems like low birth weight, health complications and long-term disability. Cloudnine has been able to successfully create an applaudable care system that addresses needs of children from the early stages so that even children born prematurely at 28 weeks can lead a healthy life without the fear of any untoward complications.
